I went with the Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D6 for the 6 inch width. I would not suggest anything less wide.

So since they fit higher and tighter they don't get in the way as much when getting in and out? I'm assuming you don't actually step on them. If possible can you post a pic of them on your truck?

PS I didn't even want to take my Jeep on that trail!

Yes we were trying the AZ Peace Trail near Quartzite and that section was NASTY. They do not get in the way when dismounting, I can get a foot the way to the ground and slide out without them being in the way. As far as getting in, I am still recovering from surgery for a blockage of the right femoral artery in March. I could not mount the beast without these running boards. I place my right foot fully on the running board below the door hinge while grabbing the handle with left hand and reach in to grab the 2:00 position of the steering wheel with right hand. Then step up and put the right side of butt on the left front corner of the seat, lean across to put right arm on the console, then lift and slide till my lower back is firm against the seat back. It's a process but once in place this is the most enjoyable vehicle I have ever owned. I will get some assistance with pics for you showing the above process and the running boards at work this week. I am 6 foot 320 pounds. Once fully healed I will be mounting by placing the right foot directly on the driver's floor like I used to. These Rhino D6 running boards seem to be superior to the stock ones in all ways in my experience. They are NOT rock sliders so I do expect to repair as needed if the going gets rough again.

Thanks, maybe some time when we're in Scottsdale we can meet up for lunch or something and check them out. I'll be driving to Tempe for seat covers when I get my truck. Whenever we go up there we try and eat at Bluewater Grill, love that place.

I went and got myself from realtruck the RT VoltStep Electric Powder Coated Running Board and installed them yesterday. Not too difficult! Works like a charm.

Looks good. Mine are AMP Research. Much easier to get in and out.

Looks great!
As much as I hate the factory steps, which I took off my 24 model.
I highly recommend paint protection film on your back fenders for anyone not running factory steps.

I have the same splash guards and also rocker guards on mine and 12K miles later.
Both my back fenders are pitted pretty good, I did do paint protection film which in those areas the film is pitted, anywhere I didn't have film has permanent damage.

There is the AMP Research PowerstepXtreme. $200 off right now. Don't know how they would handle Minnesota.

I do the awkward thing that everyone does, because the RR doesnt have a grab handle on the pillar: i step up on the running board, then squat down and into the seat.

Removed them and replaced with Hot Metal Fab rock sliders because I also need actual protection.
