Local dealership is quoting me $1200 (7hours) to install these spacers. Seems kind of steep considering the initial quote was less than half that. Thoughts?
Seems pretty steep for just that job. I would call around and see what other qualified shops are better on the price. I will be doing this soon, haven't decided if I want to installl myself or have a shop. I think some dealers don't even wan't to deal with aftermarket parts, so they quote really high.
I got quoted $565 from a local independent 4x4 specialist to do just the fronts. That includes an alignment. If you are also doing the rears, it may not be that far off. Dealer rates I suspect will be higher as well.
Initial quote for me was $550. I suppose I should add that this is the same dealer from whom I’m buying the truck. Just waiting for the wheels/tires to arrive. Good call on the alignment! I’ll ask if the price quoted includes it as it was not specified in the phone call.
