Real quick if I'm just purchasing your basic tune, no special mapping for a stock setup on 93 octane, how much HP and TQ gain am I looking at over the FP Procal tuner that I currently run?

Hey man,

Over the FP tune, usually about 40-50hp and 30-40wtq

Below is the dyno chart where I tested this (on 91oct)

Red = Stock
Blue = Ford ProCal
Green = My 91 tune
Orange = My E40 tune

Nice, substantial gains over FP Procal. I'm in Texas so I have 93 all over. I see on your websites the standard options are 91/E40. Would it be fine to run the 91 tune on 93 octane? How much more power can a 93 mapped tune squeeze out, if any? Would you be able to provide a 93 octane tune as one of the standard options in the future or would I need to pay extra for the 93 octane map?

I'm using 93 on the Procal 91 tune, so I'd assume is fine. In Austin it's either 93 or 89 lol.

93 on a 91 tune is fine. To a point more octane is usually better. I ran 93 on the FP tune as well. The hp question has been asked before, I think 93 is worth another 20 hp +/-. As is the S&B intake.

Are you on the Goosetune now? If so, noticeably faster?

No you'll want to run 93 or higher. If you get a 91 tune you can run 91 or higher.

93 should be a standard option, if not I'll have to modify that!

Yep, 93 on a 91 tune is ok.

I'm not but now that Cobb is an option I will likely go that route at come point. Nice thing with Cobb is you can unmarry and sell the device and recoup much of the cost (not including the tune obviously). I just didn't feel like data-logging but know it's the best way to dial in a tune. I've done it many times (try data-logging a 650hp GT-R to redline in 4th gear). My current 93 tune makes 441 whp but that doesn't factor in the intake.

Yyeah, it's unfortunate the Procal is permanently tied to one vehicle. I did not know you can unmarry the Cobb tuner. I'll definitely go this route and since I'll most likely be trading my 2025 in for probably the 2nd year release of the next Gen RR in 4 to 5 years.

I for one am completely confused. The Goosetuned website is kinda hard to get around. I can't really get a grip on what all is required to tune my Raptor. The instructions on the website are for Gen 2 Raptors. I even filled out the contact us form asking for help and got no reply.

this link will get you what you need to get started. The Cobb AP and 1 tune (I did 93).

i added the S&B intake also.

as for navigating the website I just go to the search bar and type in “Ranger Raptor” and it shows everything I’d want

Thanks, that helps. So you need colder spark plugs, and have to do a weird data logging thing in 4th gear etc?
New or gapped spark plugs are not necessary. The "data logging" is just part of custom tuning. This is why you typically see higher HP numbers with custom tuning. Because it's more specific to your vehicle. I'm 52, not super techy, and I figured it out no problem.
