Harsh 2nd gear manual shifts at low RPM

Anyone else experience really harsh 2nd gear manual shifts at lower RPM?

I haven’t noticed harsh manual shifts but I did notice a roughly half second delay from when I pull the paddle to when it shifts. Kind of defeats the purpose.

I've noticed this as well. Is this normal for ford?

It's sporadically lurchy from 1st-2nd, especially just after a cold start. Manual or otherwise.

My 3.0L Explorer is like this, too.
