Order placed through dealer on 11/15/24 for a 2025.

Dealer had an allocation and I had a deposit down since the spring, so I was first in line.

Have received zero communication from either dealer or Ford since that time. Many on here report receiving an email, etc., after order is placed.

Pushed the issue with the dealer today, as to status, and finally got a tracking number.

Called Ford program line from a number I saw on this forum and spoke with a moderately helpful human. Said my order priority code was 4, but she didn't know what that meant.

I generally understand from the forum that any PC 10 or below is favorable.

Guess I am left wondering why a dealer with an allocation and a favorable PC hasn't been scheduled, when others at or after my order date appears to be in line for production.

Can anyone help me dicipher the tea leaves here?

Best of luck! I ordered a MY25 2.7 XLT early January, waiting on scheduling.

You should of got an email from Ford confirming your order, sometimes dealer do not always followup with you. Make sure it didn't go to your junk mail. I have gotten 2 emails from Ford since I place my '25 RR order; the first was order confirmation with Ford on Dec 4th (2 days after I placed my order with my dealer) and the second was on January 19th that Ford picked up my order for production (Dealer did not have an allocation) waiting on production date. It will be another couple of weeks before I get a production date email, from my experience. I'm hoping for a late April early May delivery.

How did your order get picked up (scheduled) if your dealer didn't have an allocation?

I do not have an answer, maybe just lucky.

As I sure you are aware, you do not need an allocation to order a truck from a dealer. All an allocation gets you is a defenite build slot unless there is some type of commodity issue with your options, however the dealer should be able to help navigate that process if something comes up, like for example, there is a shortage of beadlock wheels, if you go with standard wheels your order will be pulled. I had this happen when I ordered my '05 Super Duty, my dealer had an allocation but my order would not get pulled for producdtion. After bugging my salesman, he finally called my out of the blue and told me if I remove the factory 18" wheel option (there was a shortage of supply) my order will get built. I did and I immediately got a production date.

This is the second time I have order a RR, my '24 came in with paint defects and I refused delivery. When I ordered that one they did not have an alocation either.

It took five weeks for them to pull the order for my '24 and six 1/2 weeks for them to accept this order.

Both times I did not order with the factory spray in bedliner as in my opinion slows up production. I believe that Ford will pull non-factory spray in liners quicker, because they can build it and ship it without sending it to the sub-assembly line for the spray in liner.

I also have a good relationship with my dealer, so I do not know if that helps.

Thanks. This all makes sense. What you confirmed is that you can put in an order with (any) dealer, regardless of whether or not they have an allocation. That is clear.

My original comment was within the context of an order, that is already in the order bank (i.e., received by Ford and with confirmation) getting pulled (scheduled) for a future build date WITHOUT the dealer you ordered from having an allocation for that model/trim. I don't think this is possible, unless under maybe exception cases.

Your statement "Ford picked up my order for production (Dealer did not have an allocation)" implies that they scheduled your order for production without the dealer having an allocation for that model/trim. I was just confused about this because my understanding is that this isn't possible.

In other words, if there was some special explanation that the dealer gave to explain how your order was scheduled without them having an allocation I would be interested to hear what happened because maybe I could compel my dealer to push for the same workaround.

So I called my salesman, just to see if he could any for info. He explained this, he was very surprised that my '24 got picked up by Ford due to the demand at the time. In '24 they received 2 allocations for RR, the first was a special order (very early order) and the second was a stock unit. When I ordered mine, the second one was too far along in the order process to change options / color. When I ordered my '25 they had not received any allocations for RR yet. He further explained that they received there first one, which I got this January. Most likely they will get at least 1 more for the '25 model year. He explained that the bigger dealerships, tend to get more allocations then the smaller ones. He said currently they have an F150 Raptor R on order for a guy, he original '24 order never got picked up and he converted his order to a '25. They had not received any allocations for '25 Raptor R yet but they expect to, so his order shoud get built this year. Honestly too confusing.

Oh, wow. Thanks for following up and providing an explanation here.

That is awesome that you picked up their first, and perhaps one of only a few, RR allocations.

It sounds like your dealer may be on the smaller side based on those allocation numbers, but I am just speculating?

I put my order in two days after the MY25 order banks opened for Rangers on Oct 15 of last year, so I am crossing my fingers that it was the first my dealer took on and that it will be the first to get picked up (scheduled) if/when they get an allocation.

Looking forward to hearing about yours when it shows up!
