high mount cargo light & 3rd brake light

Greetings, I am looking at the led bulbs on @F150LEDs and at the bottom it says they are not compatible with the factory led cargo light. Anyone that owns a Ranger raptor 2024-2025 know if the lights on ours are factory led or halogen? Don't want to order and have to return. I got up in the bed and looked with them on as well as with a flashlight and cant see in well due to all of tge facets in the lens and yes I know I can remove it and look but its 9pm and I didn't want to dig out the torx bit/nut drivers.

go out and press your cargo light button and look at the light no 7/8mm socket, or t20 torx bit needed. The 3rd brake/cargo assembly comes in 2 trims "levels" as ford calls it. Level 1, all halogen, level 2 all led. raptor being the top trim level, guess what ones they have?

Thank you tried that last night, even had the fob in my hand to hit the unlock. I'll have to either remove it or see if I can tell in the bright sunlight.

go look at the 3rd brake light. climb up in the pan of the truck and look at it. if you can see 3 bulbs.... its halogen, if you do not see 3 bulbs, but see some small squares... its???(take a guess) also halogen is a yellow(warm)white light, not a blue(cold) white light(factory leds)

I can see the difference looking at pictures online in just the lenses alone.

plus the pictures I took myself of mine a month ago and a rr last year

Lariat and Raptor have all LED other than the rear turn signal and back up(reverse) lights. I just changed the rear turn signal to LED as I am happy with the reverse lights.

raptor has full led. zero halogens. lariat still uses the level 2 led/halogen tail lights. Does the lariat get the led 3rd brake/cargo lights thats on the raptor?

Yes the only LED's in the Lariat are rear turn signal and reverse light. I just did the turn signal as I am fine with reverse lights(don't do a lot of backing at night).

Not what I asked. I asked if the lariat uses the level 1 3rd brake light/cargo lights(halogen) mounted on top of the cab or if the lariat uses the full LED 3rd brake/cargo light same as the Raptor.

the lariat uses the level 2 tail lights. led brake and marker. halogen reverse and turns. does jt use the level 1 or level 2 3rd brake light, again mounted on top of the cab.

The top of the cab ones are LED for both brake light and cargo lights. Not sure if it's the raptor one as I have never seen one around here. I know my dealer sold one but I haven't seen it on our local roads.

Okay. so Lariat uses level 3 of 3 head lights, level 2 of 3 tail lights and level 2 of 2 3rd brake light.

the xlt uses lvl 2 head lights(led reflector high low beams, led drl, halogen turn signals) level 2 tails same as your Lariat. and level 1 3rd brake/cargo lights. I had 9 bulbs to swap to led. front and rear turn signals(4) reverse (2) and 3rd brake/cargo(3)

the raptor uses level 3 heads, lvl 3 tails, and lvl 2 3rd brake.

If you haven't already. and have forscan, and your bulbs dont have built in resistors. in forscan you can turn off bulb outtage, and you will not get the hyperflash.

at first I turned off bulb outtage and turned on led outtage thinking that would do it. nope still hyperflash, had to turn off all turn signal bulb outtage to stop the hyperflash

When I replace my rear turn signals they flash normally like the halogen that was in it. The only hyperflash I get is the interior indicator flashing fast as it thinks the rear bulbs are out. I don't have Forscan and I can live with that. Also when it's fast like that I have never left my turn signal on by mistake
