HomeLink gate opener reliability

I have a 2024 Lariat and am about to install a Mighty Mule (tractor Supply) automatic gate opener on my gate. My Ford owners manual says my truck's HomeLink works on gate openers. HOWEVER, it also states that radio-frequency laws require transmitter signals to timeout after a few seconds which may not be long enough for the HomeLink to pick up the signal. This doesn't apply to garage door openers apparently. Has anyone succesfully linked their gate opener with the trucks HomeLink?

I have the middle button saved to operate the gate at my office. I learned the gate remote to my truck no issues and works great.
