Hey guys. My Ranger finally shipped today! The delivery estimate updated to a 7 day window.

I am going to take a few days off just to enjoy the truck and install all the stuff I bought for her.

So my question is, how accurate is the delivery estimate? Dealer already told me they need 1-2 days to prep it.

Just wondering if that window is usually spot on or if it could show at any time. Thanks all!

Ps: truck is shipped but my As Built data still doesn't have a tear tag! Anyone else ever seen that?

From my experience ordering from that same dealership the date may or may not move several times.
From factory to Dover Delaware by rail and then will wait to be trucked to dealership. How long at the rail yard will depend on a full carrier load coming in this direction.

The term Dealer Prep scares me. I would ask if the dealer plans on adding anything to your truck.

Dealers are famous for adding key socket locking lug nuts for $99, when there's a dozen videos on YouTube on how to take them off. Not to mention you can buy key socket locking lug nuts for half that price.

I have purchased in the past from that same dealer and they do not add anything unless you requested the item.
