That's what I was thinking as well. They've been outspoken recently about acknowledging QA issues and trying to reverse that trend.

Would also explain why there's been no media events post-strike. If that delay is already planned, then ford has plenty of time to plan and host media before trucks hit consumer hands.

I will not be happy if this is true. They’ve already built a thousand of them in August, September, November, and December. They had time to do QA inspections on all of them.

I’m trying not to put any more miles on my current vehicle as it’s nearing a threshold that will mark down resale price a good bit. Although mine is being built this week, I was assuming another 6 weeks to actually show up at the dealer. But if we’re talking another three months to make it to the dealer that’s messed up.

They hadn't built any in Aug-Nov for retail.. They had just finished trials up in Dec. Job 1 had just started at MAP. The QA issues are based on plant performance. They have to run a specific amount of days with out issues. The Strike added to a handful of issues they had trying to launch the truck.

I know they weren’t for retail, but they could still do QA testing on them. Didn’t know about needing to run the plant a set period of time without issues. I appreciate the information you shared, but man this bums me out.
