Hey guys. I've had my Ranger 2 days, 90 miles on it so far. 3 times so far, in this 95F muggy weather, while cranking the AC at LO or low 60s, the temp will randomly switch to HIGH.

Super weird! I'm honestly not sure if I had it in AUTO or not as I'm still learning these fancy controls...

But is this normal? I didn't think auto changed the temp but maybe it does? Or my only other thought was it was sensing high humidity or something and trying to trigger a drying mode?

Hope it's not something wrong. Curious if you guys have seen this or know what's up. Thanks

Is it the temp going HIGH or the fan speed?
IIRC, AUTO mode changes fan speeds to reach desired temp. It shouldn't be changing set temp.
In auto mode, the fans crank up until the temp is reached, then go low (or off), until needed again, similar to home AC units.
But I'm not 100% sure, as I never used AUTO.
I just set my desired temp at 72F and adjust fan speed as needed. The climate control will do what it needs, whether it's more AC or more heat, to keep it at 72F, but it won't change fan speed.

mine will not hit the the target temperature at all, say its 30° outside, i set it to 65°, it will either be way too cold or way to hot and fluctuate too. I can change it from say 60-75 and it will be the same temperature coming out of the vents, only once I go above whatever threshold will it change the temperature.

I have experienced something similar. but in my case, it was when I would reach down to change the volume of the radio. It would suddenly go from auto AC to blasting heat immediately.
finally figured out….i was inadvertently touching the max defrost button without realizing it. It apparently is very sensitive.
