This is how it is on my European raptor.
I had to activate it in the IPC with forscan.
In 4A it lights up for the rear wheels and just after front + rear.

So it appears the feature is active for the non raptor version by default

That’s not how it works on mine. It shows in 4A the variations between rear wheel drive and four wheel drive. And it is never only front, it is only rear on highway and such but anytime you press hard on accelerator it goes to front too showing how 4A really works

I just used forscan to get this on my NA Raptor. SO far, it seems to only show all 4 wheels in motion when it's in awd, and rear only in 2wd. Maybe i need to be on highway but i'm expecting behavior as you noted, meaning in 4A it usually shows rear wheels getting power, unless you accelerator hard and it pushes power to fronts as well.

Actually it works as expected, i just needed to get out of the city!
