since you have to drill holes in the roof, that can probably be used on the 6g ranger as well. i don't know how much weight it will allow though

I will not be using it for a RTT.

Mainly to have a strap down point for Water Sports vessels.

I figure if I camped with 3 other people driving them in my Ranger the Bed may not hold enough gear. Thinking of using a large storage bag for the roof.

I want to know if the hole locating points are the same. You just open up the holes that are there. Drill the holes from 6mm to 8mm. if i had to drill new holes I would not do that.

i didn't think of using for a rtt, i was just thinking since the mounts just go through the skin using those anchors, the skin might not hold weight that well, even spreading it out like that does.

i bet if you pull the headliner down and put some backing plates in, that will work great for what you want to us it for, tying down to. i would put the backing plates so those anchors don't try to pull through the thin sheet metal skin since the kayaks might try to lift when wind gets under them

i think other manufactures do the same thing. The contoured channel makes the roof mounting areas very strong. On a flat roof, yes there would be a problem.

americantrucks.com has the Prinsu rack fitting 19-26, but the Prinsu website doesn't. I sent a message to Prinsu to verify, but haven't received a response.

Load rating

  • 600lbs dynamic load capacity and 1,000lbs static load capacity.
i found a reference # at American truck. FR22349 cannot cross reference it to Prinsu site.

Prinsu site says 2019 to 2021

I found the part # 400-000-017-007 for 2019 to 2021 rack.

American Truck has same part #

i wonder if their dynamic numbers are for pulling up or just pushing down? i bet its just pushing down.

i bet you will be fine though. even some big fender washers inside if those bolts don't line up with the integrated roof supports under the headliner that would spread the pressure out enough

I guess American truck is selling a roof rack that does not fit a 6G Ranger.
This was in Canada. If i purchase from the US its almost 3/4 more the US dollar price to CND.
So $750 USD ends up being $1200 CND or more once received.
No value in buying from US even with picking it up over the boarder.
Someone said purchase things with Venmo. Visa takes their cut.

So, what I can see is the 5G mounting points are better then the 6G.

The 6G only has two holes per channel. Where the 5G has 2 holes front and back mounting and one in the middle, Far strong with 5 bolts a side to 2 on the 6G.
