My two cents, 5/27 I went to the dealer and he without issue put in a retail order and I got an email (see screen shot). The order sheet says at the bottom "This order has not been submitted to the order bank." 6/3 I got a call from dealer saying as others did saying that the order had to be placed to stock and that he had done that according to the specs on the retail order. Also you cannot check your order status without a VIN. Obviously not all of Ford was on the same page. As Tom Petty said, "the waiting is the hardest part...."I hope you all understand that the order banks weren’t officially open for custom, retail orders.
The handful that sneaked in an order were lucky and I hope they honor those orders to you all.
Allocations of 1-2 units were sporadically sent out to dealers. I’ve noticed the majority of the dealers I’ve reached out to had no clue of their allocations of the 2024 RR.
And, of course, they will say anything to keep your business so they say, “Yes we will put your order in and we will send the forms for you to sign.” Classic bait and switch, knowing for a fact they can’t place that order.
I’ll be waiting as long as it takes to get one without dealing with all this BS.
