I'm in the same boat. Been trying to figure that one out, I prefer black also, not sure why didn't come stock that way. Looking at an AWE Exhaust myself with different tips.

I hear you, the (at least bolt on) options are crazy expensive for what they are, Ford Performance which is just Borla for a axle back is much as some full catback exhaust systems. The hangers sit a little to close to the tip or I would have just cut them off and added new blacks ones at this point.

Agreed! I ended up ordering the mbrp exhaust w the black tips.
