The only problem with the hot pepper is it looks copper in day with no sun. Saw it again on a bronco in lot . Other than that itās ti_tsThat Hot Pepper Red looks pretty good in these pics.
Very good info. Thanks for sharing!I am in development so Iām just going through the definition terms on explaining it. I donāt know how the process works. I do know that our pre-production units in testing are not built at the factories, cannot be sold, and get crushed at the end of their life. I think how these work at least from going through the VINās background, these are built by the plant to be sold to Ford. I know that might sound weird but this is just how it works even for us. These carry a real actual VIN but will likely never be sold publicly. Media reviewers will get them as will Leadership Level Ford employees for company lease vehicles. For all intents and purposes these are a production vehicle, just not mass production (Job 1)
I agree. I'm still mad that we didn't get code orange here in the US, bummer. The only problem with the hot pepper is it looks copper in day with no sun. Saw it again on a bronco in lot . Other than that itās ti_ts
If Iām correct, those have to be purchased the way any of us would purchase them. What are the odds there are slated for EPA fuel economy testing, NHTSA & IIHS crash Testing?
IIHS purchase like anyone else to make sure they get completely representative vehicles. Consumer Reports is the same way. EPA and NHTSA could vary as that testing is run differently than IIHS.If Iām correct, those have to be purchased the way any of us would purchase them.
Yes youāre jogging my memory and I have definitely remembered seeing āMā plates at EPA facilities.IIHS purchase like anyone else to make sure they get completely representative vehicles. Consumer Reports is the same way. EPA and NHTSA could vary as that testing is run differently than IIHS.
We got squat here in the US. No Meteor Grey, Sedona Orange , metallic white or black, no lightning blue and of course we donāt get the Code O.I agree. I'm still mad that we didn't get code orange here in the US, bummer.
Definitely got squat. I was looking forward to code O and the meteor grey and struck out. Had to choose between shelter green and azure grey, it was a very tough choice but I landed with azure grey with my order. Im curious, I'm assuming you can change the color of your order as long as there is no build date/VIN yet, but at what point is it final? We got squat here in the US. im still with the Shelter. Went to change it Carbonized Grey on Sat and could bet my self to do it.
itās on everything Ford. So is silver. Pic with the Cactus looks good, The two Shelter Green pics one really good , the other ok
if the green is at the Chicago show, if they even have the show in September, might have to plane a trip from New York to go see it in person..
the last thing I wanna do is have a regret with a truck that I lucked out getting the allocation for to,begin with.
I know Iām not the only one.
We could change up until production week confirmation. Although I did read that GM at dealership could get it done afterwards. That road I donāt wanna go down. I cant really do the azure, a sibling has the same color on a new tremor and I would not hear the end of it. Besides Iām not a follower.Definitely got squat. Using some heat and a little patience, they come off relatively easy.So how hard is it to take the Raptor decal off without damaging the paint? After seeing these photos Iāve decided I want to remove it first thing.
Thanks! Iāve pulled dealership decals off using this technique, but never OEM decals⦠Iām not a fan of the āSportā decal and will likely remove it if I go with Sport over FX4.Using some heat and a little patience, they come off relatively easy.
There may be a little adhesive residue to remove, but that isn't too hard to do and doesn't require any clear-coat damaging chemicals/cleaners.
Heating up the decal thoroughly with a heat-gun or hair dryer then slowly start to peel it off.
If it's a warmer part of the year, parking or positioning the vehicle so as to have the side with the decal facing the sun also helps as it heats up the whole surface and not just around the decal(a little more difficult with lighter colors as they don't heat up as much or easily).
