So I picked up a 25 Ranger XLT and it has about 2 1/4 inch of rake. I’m looking at Readylift 1.5 inch as well as Fox 2.0 and Eibach. I’ve heard good and bad when it comes to spacer lifts. I want to fit 275/70R17. Preferably 285 but I don’t want any rubbing or trimming. I’m looking at KO3 or Ridge Grapps. I’m wondering what do go with. I don’t really off road. I’m in Indiana so the most is snow in winter and gravel roads. Some times I drive on some harsh roads. it didn’t come with the locking rear differential. I’m wondering if I need to pick one up. I had a 2006 f150 before and it had a limited slip differential and I never had any problems in snow and I don’t want to this winter either. I’m jsut wondering if it’s worth investing in a locking rear or not.

I've had quite a few rigs with selectable lockers. Rarely used them except on the toughest trails, steepest climbs etc. On snowy or icy roads a rear locker is disaster. I've put Trutracs in a couple of rigs, rear only and both fr & RR. Absolutely awesome, even on ice and snow.
For your use a rear Trutrac might be perfect. I love the Trutrac (it's a Torsen diff)
I put limited slip diffs (clutch plate type) fr & RR of an 85 4runner back in 86 or so. BAD idea. No control at all on ice & snow, the front would hunt back and forth in ruts, it was awful. Live and learn...
