There’s an easy way to circumvent any scraping; Door edge guard on the trailing edge of the hood.??

Or just don't pull your "whippers" up until they scratch the hood.

I keep my whippers in the dungeon, that way my hood doesn't get scratched.

The wipers cannot be lifted up in the default position. The operator’s manual says you need to activate the wipers then turn off the ignition while they are straight up, before lifting them off the glass.

Good grief I live here in Canada and MY WIPERS FREEZE TO THE WINDSHIELD 7 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR, this is a horrible ridiculous design likely made by idiots who drive only in California or Australia.

I 'm gonna have to pray the aftermarket steps in with wiper blades that allow it.
