Id argue 2026/27 mid cycle refresh when this comes over. I believe the bronco is getting PHEV in 2025, and then we would follow after that.

Super cool, should be a good option to balance around the town driving and have basically unlimited range for long trips. Our van had a hybrid system like this and my wife regularly got over 600 miles per tank (40+mpg) just plugging in the van to the 110 outlet anytime it was parked at home. Super easy.
Would love to see this combo with the big 3.0 ecoboost

It will have more torque than the Ranger Raptor. It will be a beast. And the Pro Power On Board will be a killer feature. I’ve already been doing a lot of research on how to power my house with it when the grid goes down.

Only down side would be towing capacity. All those extra batteries with def. lower payload capacity. I'm not sure how they would keep the same payload like the article says...

``` The Ranger PHEV retains the towing, payload, and off-road credentials of its non-electrified counterparts```
I wanted the F-150 for the onboard power generator, but it was just to big.
Maybe I'll upgrade my vehicle sooner than expected if it lives up to it's promised. My city MPG has been below the advertised on the 2.3L so far.
Will sit out at least the first year to see how it does. with it hitting other markets first hopefully they avoid the issues with the new Tacoma at least in the US.
The engine is the same one they have already been using so im nut sure there is anything to exactly wait out for persay. The biggest thing is just will it have the Pro Power like the f150s.
The battery pack is much smaller/lighter that a full BEV. Ford’s media announcement says payload and towing have not decreased.
I'd love to see a PHEV Raptor. If that comes out, I'm heading straight to the dealership.
