New Order Questions

This morning, I worked an MSRP deal with a Ford dealership in the next town, and I've already received an e-mail from Ford stating that they have received the order, provided the "order ID", and will be providing updates throughout the process. I assume this is standard procedure for anyone placing a special order, but since I'm new to the forum and to the process, I just wanted to see if this what y'all got too. Is there anything special about that order ID that can be used to track any progress anywhere on the Ford.com website?

I'm actually in just the opposite boat as most of the participants here in that the longer my order takes, the better off I am. I'm building a 1996 Bronco that needs to be finished and sold before my truck arrives, so I'm in no hurry.

Yes you will get that email. Your dealer can provide the sales code as well so you can check status on ford chat but I wouldn't expect you to have anything within the next few months.

Good. I'm hoping it's May-June before it is delivered.

We ordered our 2025 Ranger Lariat the 24th of March. Got the order confirmation from Ford the next day. Then nothing.
Called dealer and asked if they heard anything. He said all he had was the order number and I would receive updates just like he would. Continued to check nothing. Even checked production notifications to see if there was a problem with assembly. Nothing.

FINALLY........on July 30th got call from dealer saying he had a Ranger sittling on his lot with my name on it.
Ford must be too busy with recalls to comunicate with buyers.
