Rumor: Stop Sale on new 2.7L orders

Talked to a guy on Reddit who said he ordered a 2026 Ranger last week and got a call yesterday from his dealer that there is a stop sale on the 2.7L engine.

Not sure if it's a parts shortage due to the recall, or if they are stopping the production of 2.7s, or if it's even true or not. But wanted to share and was curious if anyone else has tried to recently order a 2.7L

Not surprising since starting in 2027 the F150 will stop using the 2.7 and start using the 3.0.

I love this engine so much though. Bummer for anyone missing out on it

I just bought a 2.7 off the lot. It was priced $2k below several other 2.3's similarly equiped, not a courtesy vehicle or anything. It had the random additional test drive sticker and odometer at 62 miles. I thought maybe the 2.7 was harder to sell given the tow capacity was same as 2.3.
