I have a RR on order with a build week of 3.31.25. I was wondering if anyone has hear form there dealers or Ford if the tariffs will effect our quoted price? I have not contacted my dealer as I want to let a sleeping Dawg lie!

From what I've seen, retail orders are price protected, and stock orders are not. Without a sales agreement, the dealer may still try to manipulate the numbers with either type of order.

You should be good if you have a sales agreement in place.

I was just reading a news article that said that cars and trucks built in the USA have parts that can cross the border 6-8 times and have the tariffs levied each time which sounds crazy to me. One of the articles said that this could make US-made vehicles even more expensive than cars imported from countries with tariffs imposed because they only pay the tariffs once. If true and the tariffs actually stick then we might soon see the crazy truck prices that we saw during the covid-era. I wonder how the tacomas will fare with the tariffs because they're made in Mexico now, right? Or are they made in Texas?

If you already have a window sticker you’re safe. Especially if your dealer is selling it at MSRP.

As a Canadian who had an order in for a XLT/FX4 2.7 since September 27, 2024 I was told by my dealer that if their price goes up, no matter what my sales agreement said, I would have to pay up and renegotiate a new price. That truck is in production now.

As soon as any word of tariffs coming in I went to a dealer that had a 2024 FX4 Lariat 2.7 listed in the colour I wanted (white) and secured a deal same day with a guaranteed price below MSRP (was already built, shipped and on the rails). I picked it up on Friday.

Happy I did and a bird in the hand is better than two in the bush.

The Tacoma is manufactured in Mexico only. This serves Toyota right as they got greedy, cut manufacturing costs by half and raised their prices starting in 2024. Now it’s going to hurt them a bunch.

As to whether the sales agreement would be binding at the original price, it depends on what clauses were included. I wouldn't be surprised if the dealer gave themselves an out...or they may have thought you wouldn't dispute it.

Folks, we all joined up here to share and learn about our beloved Rangers, so I'd like to suggest we all agree to drop the politics lest we alienate each other from our primary purpose of being here.

Just my opinion.
