New Product! Sidekick Accessory Mount

Hey everyone – Brit here from American Adventure Lab. I wanted to give Ranger6G a first look at a new product we’re launching next week, because this group has been a huge source of insight and inspiration for our Ranger gear.

We just filed the patent on a new product we’re calling SAM – the Sidekick Accessory Mount.

What is it?
It’s a clean, low-profile accessory mounting solution that installs in the dash compartment above the glove box on 2024+ U.S. Rangers. SAM supports up to four RAM balls, making it easy to mount phones, tablets, comms mics, GPS units, and more — all while keeping your glove box and upper compartment fully accessible. Keeping the dash clear and windshield in full view was paramount for this product. I hate distractions while doing some "sporty" driving.

Key features:

• Installs using factory dash holes – no drilling required
• Made from 3/16" 5052 aluminum – Made in the USA
• Holds up to 4 RAM-style mounting points
• Designed with the co-driver in mind — perfect for trail navigation gear
• We’re also building a full ecosystem of bolt-on accessories for the SAM platform

That's kinda cool. I don't know if I'll need one, but good job on the design. Looks like you can even use the cubby still for small items. My kid would love it as a tablet holder for long stretches of highway. Lol

Very cool, I've been trying to brainstorm ways to mount radios & other stuff unobtrusively in my incoming XLT (no upper glovebox). Obviously this looks more geared toward things you need to actually see, but I bet it could be a good start for adaptation.
Looking forward to seeing what y'all come up with!

Thanks! Tablet holders are definitely in the works. We mostly use Gaia and OnX for off-road navigation. The tablets work great for that.

Comms radios are tough. We have developed a bracket to mount them under the dash. Works great for space savings. Check the 6 minute mark on this video.

Yes, the airbag releases from the dash, above this mount.

They will be sold textured in black powder coat to match the trim.

I just like posting the raw aluminum photos so people understand they're getting a high end material and not just steel. The raw aluminum usually contrasts well with the background so it's easier to understand what the product consists of.
