Hi, hope someone can help with this. I recently disconnected the battery to fit an accessory on my new Raptor. Everything seemed Ok on reconnecting, but I later discovered that the cargo bed roller shutter button on both the key fobs had stopped working. What's strange is that the cargo roller shutter can still be operated using both the interior dashboard and the external cargo bed buttons. So, this would suggest that the fuses etc are all ok. The roller shutter on my Raptor is Ford factory fitted.
I then thought about re-programming the keys and this is where I hit a problem. Apparently, you are meant to lay the key fob flat in the smart key back-up slot in the center console between the cup holders and with the remote buttons facing towards the front of the vehicle. Unfortunately, the new Raptor key wont fit into this slot; its just too wide!!! Is this a Ford design issue or is there some workaround?
Also, would welcome suggestions about how I can get the roller shutter button on my key fob working again. Could there be a seperate transponder in the dashboard fuse box (under the steering wheel) for the roller shutter key fob operation?
