I backed into parking spot earlier this afternoon. Put the truck in park and a few seconds later this started happening.

That’s a strange one. What was the RPM doing? Was the engine RPM fluctuating also?

If not probably something up with the wheel speed sensor

The tach was fluctuating between 600 and 700 rpm. At times it sounded like it was trying to die. Also look in the lower RH corner. The adaptive cruise control is still on. Right after I took this video it started giving a seatbelt fault stating it needed service. I tried to shut it off with the pushbutton but it wouldn't turn off. I finally held the button in and it shut down. After that the icons on the infotainment screen started blinking. And there was a noise coming from the left wheel well area like something was trying to engage or disengage. I started it back up and it did it all again. I put it in drive and it stopped. I called the dealer and they asked if I could bring it in. I called my supervisor and told him what was going on so I drove to the dealer. On the way it kept up the seatbelt warning and then a front camera fault. I made it but was kinda tense to say the least.

Geez - that sounds horrible! Definitely the only place for it is at the dealer! Hopefully it’s something simple! Please keep us updated

Hi there, Jay. These error message concerns doesn’t sound like something we want you to experience with your Ranger. Could you please send us a DM with your VIN and the name and location of your Ford dealer? I'd be happy to look into how I can assist you on my end. To send a direct message, just click on our username and select "Send Direct Message".

Just an update. Dealership has had my vehicle since Tuesday of last week. Called today and told me they can't replicate the problem. Claimed they have had their smartest tech on it and even drove it around with a laptop hooked up to it. All I was left with is they will put in a ticket with Ford. I go to pick it back up tomorrow morning. I explained to them that this is my daily driver. I depend on it for my daily transportation. I have no other vehicles to get back and forth to work. I will be in touch with Ford to buy back the vehicle or replace. If I can't trust it I don't want it. I can't take days off work to take this thing back to the dealership when it does this. Just venting.

You can't just initiate buyback like that. Lemon law will require at least 3 visits for the same issue. Yes, it's your only. Vehicle but you are also over reacting. You can easily get a rental, should be available with your insurance or talk to the dealer about it next time.

Hard to fix things like this if they do not stay broke. I bet they had maybe an hour on this at most.

Most things are fixable given enough time, but warranty repair process does not lend itself to being efficient most times.
