Hey y’all!
The boys from @TrailRax just installed their new roof rack for Rangers on my Ranger Raptor. Extremely well made rack! Stand by for the release! This is a pre-production model. For installation and production model updates see the TrailRax thread on this rack. Thank you!

Looks pretty damn good.

How's the wind noise? Did they put a strip of PPF under the wind deflector? Looks like it's sitting pretty damn close to the roof, and I know some other installers will do a small PPF strip just in case.

I'm assuming the headliner had to be dropped/removed to accommodate the installation. I realize the installation was done for you, but do you have any noteworthy feedback from them about that aspect? Difficulty/special process/other? Thanks

For any of these questions, feel free to reach out on our thread for this so we can get you the right answers. For the install, headliner is not required to be dropped. We did the install so happy to answer any further questions on this matter. A full release video will be out soon. Be aware that any current versions of our rack on a Ranger is subject to change as this is a preproduction rack.

This is one of the edits we are making, we will be clearancing the wind deflector to not touch the paint of the roof at all once sat in place. Preproduction model is shown in the picture and subject to change.

The great thing about a forum is sharing of information so all can see. An untold number of Ranger fans see the post that don't comment so going offline defeats the chance of acquiring a customer at no cost to you. Like me! I am interested in this roof rack for my Ranger and looking forward to the reveal of you have to share!

Not wrong. Just trying to move the questions into our topic so that anyone that wants to read up on our rack and potentially has questions on something that has already been answered, it will be on one forum to read about. We are happy to answer questions here but would hate for these to get lost from the original forum thread about our roof rack.

O.K. I'll bite.

Is there a link for this roof rack?

What is the degree of difficulty for a DIY on the roof rack?

Does the headliner need to be dropped for the install of a roof rack, or can inserts be used?

Thanks

bryan

Head to our thread for these questions. we have answered them there in detail but i will give summary on the question's answers here.

No link yet, this rack is a preproduction rack, not yet released. It should go up for preorder next month, delivery in April.

The install is possible to DIY for install but we highly recommend a professional installer to do it.

Headliner does not need to be dropped for install but can be dropped to make it easier to access the bolts in the roof. For our team to professionally install it, we do not drop the headliner as we have found a successful way to get the nuts off and back on with just deep sockets and extensions.
