Recall issued. Didn’t see it on my Ford App but it comes up on the Ford website or NHTSA site.
My RR has an August build date.
Better check those ball joints….

Just checked my UCA to knuckle ball joint and there is a fastener and it is tight on both sides. Correct torque? Will have to see.

Well forget what I said about not showing in Ford App. Recall just popped up. RR with an August build date. As I mentioned above I checked my UCA ball joints and there is a fastener and it is tight. Unsure if correctly torqued.

Interesting, while going to Cars and Coffee yesterday morning we heard a big clunk from the front of the truck yesterday and could not find anything loose or hanging, but now I'm suspicious this might be the cause.
Built the last week of July so I guess I'll be visiting the Ford dealer tomorrow morning

Stupid q but it didn’t seem like they had a resolution yet.

I saw that, but I can at least get it diagnosed and get a loaner until they can fix it. Sounds like it's not safe to drive if it was front control arm

Did a little research and from what I can tell the UCA ball joint nuts have torque specs of 46ftlbs. Don’t quote me on that. Part # W717969-S440 (ball joint nut for RR) is readily available but is a single use part. Odd they say remedy not available yet. Might be more to it. Almost want to put a torque wrench on mine to make sure but also don’t want to wreck the thread locker…

Interesting, I had mine apart to install the strut spacers, seemed tight to me when I pulled it off with my air gun.

Fun!! I’m in the opening stages of a 3 week off roading/overlanding trip. I’d rather not have read this.

It’s survived some intermittent heavy washboard mountain roads on Saturday. The secret was put it into Baja and go fast. Then it was like pavement.
