If your willing to ship to the new 51 state I would be interested
Well you all pay for the plastic and shipping, I'm just doing the design & printing lol. For me I just drop it off. We can do it.

OK guys,

I got the step in, and it sits on the wheel perfectly. Notice this ring is flush with the 'arms' of the wheel.

QUESTION: Do we want the trim ring thicker to prevent scratches? Send feedback.

QUESTION: Do we want to add holes for ALL of the beadlock threads ... it's a lot and will prevent pattern options. Send feedback.

Notice the black is also way off from the wheel. if you want black, you'll have to paint them with a gloss black on your own.

I think I am read to print my first legit ones in ASA for cactus gray, it's 24 of these sections, and each section plus spacer is 1hr 30min, so you'll probably get a pic by Monday morning or so.

I like it!
The idea of using all the holes works for me - but with nylon screws. Flush with the wheel is good also. Just make the rings and I'll source the screws.
You could make money on this idea . . .

Are we able to do a vote on here? Actually I can probably design both. Hole alignment was actually the hardest part to get right, as I am measuring by hand.

If you guys have ideas for design patterns, please sketch them up, and post them as images here. I am not an artist so I am sure someone else can come up with something better than I can.

ALSO: We could add spikes sticking out, or whatever. for designs, the possibilities are endless.

Here is a quick update. I think I like them sticking out a bit more. This is how close I can match the cactus gray:

Looks like I ran into an ASA problem. ASA is printed on a much higher bed temp, thus when cooling the parts shrink, I need to do some test prints to accommodate this issue, likely going to be a few days, I'll be back, thx

Hey Everyone,

I modeled and 3D printed beadlock wheel trims. You can do almost any color and design pattern you chose with this method.

Here is my first official revision of it. It is in white for cheap/quick printing, but it looks pretty nice.

The cool thing is it is also dirt cheap, about ~$7/wheel or less. AND if you damaged them, who gives a s#!t, you just print another one.

Great job! What are the inside and outside dimensions on your rings? I'm guessing 17" outside but the inner circle? i plan to cut some out of cardboard and spray paint them various colors and stick them on our wheels when the RR arrives so we have an idea what colors to paint the oem's or powder coat.

You need to scale up all the dimensions to “about” 100.8%. There are many size test files, are you using one? That is the most accurate way. You are also going to get warping, that is going to be a lot harder to deal with.

Being creative with a brand new 3d print is lots of hard work, isn’t it?

it's not always that exact amount. X and Y can be different due to thermal differences in the chamber. I'll work on it tomorrow.

I measured mine to be off my 1mm in 234mm for the longest dimension on one of the trim segments.

I'll do a test print with different scales shouldn't be too hard to figure out. But yeah as you print more and learn all these little things.
