Non-factory tire size can cause incorrect speedometer reading and impact function of the CCM (Cruise Control Module). " Repair or replacement of the CCM when a vehicle is equipped with non-factory size tires may not be warrantable and subject to chargeback."

I'm aware corrections can be made in Forscan, don't remember specifically but research can get the procedure in short order.
I'm also aware the Procal tool can do this as well. "Speedometer correction for gear/tire changes (within factory parameters)"
FORD PERFORMANCE PROCAL 4 TOOL ONLY| Part Details for M-12655-F | Ford Performance Parts
RANGER 2.7L ECOBOOST CALIBRATION| Part Details for M-9603-REB27 | Ford Performance Parts
To maintain warranty and avoid potential litigation of a front impact caused by malfunctioning CCM or other modules, would the "recommended" option be to get the Procal?
Also, if you were to get the Procal tune, are you able to not install the tune and just use the Procal tool for its other functionality, but still have the ability to install the tune if you so desire?
I haven't changed my stock tires yet, just looking at a healthy discussion of viewpoints.
