OTA Update

My truck updated last night (09/30/25) and it seems like the transmission is shifting better. The truck had an issue in normal mode between 3-4 or 5-6 where it would make a long shift and almost feel like a stall. Am I imaging the issue is resolved? Anyone else notice an improvement? I've only driven a few miles so far, so maybe it was random.

That would be nice if it ends up being reality. I dont care for the shift points in mine that much and dont want to pay for the Ford performance calibration to have it fixed. Probably will though. Assuming you have a 2025 ?

It is my understanding that OTA updates are for SYNC4 updates, not vehicle ECM/PCM updates.
Otherwise, why would someone have to have Ford do updates for brake or back-up camera issues if it could be done OTA? But you can check the update info to see what was done.

You must not have had a 5G ranger. My '22 Tremor couldn't have had worse shifting, in normal and sport. Tow was OK, except when not warmed up the downshift from 4 to 2 would chirp the tires as you roll up to a red light. My '24 shifts like a Bentley compared to the '22.

I did not have a 5G. i love my 2024 other than the shifting. Will probably break down and get the tune.
