Currently have 1400 miles on my RR and while cruising down the highway today I passed over an expansion joint and immediately got a parking brake failure message that won't go away. EPB is of course inoperable but luckily this fault doesn't interfere with drive mode selection etc. Interesting to note that at 70 miles I had a similar issue on the day I picked up the truck where the dash lit up like a Christmas tree and more faults started to appear after going over a bumpy joint in the highway. Immediately returned it and a loose connection at one of the wheel speed sensors was the culprit. Hoping these trucks don't suffer from a run of bad harnesses or clumsy assembly.

Hi there! If you send over a DM with your VIN and Ford dealer info, I can look into your concerns on my end.

Will do! Just FYI I resolved the problem myself as it was a loose connection at the left park brake motor/caliper. The right side was loose as well but not yet moved enough to set a fault.

Just had this malfunction come up today and OMG it is annoying. Seems to be functioning fine just got a light on the dash and a CONSTANT dinging.

where did the loose connection end up being? Was it a speed sensor or something in the caliper itself?

he said wheel speed sensor
thank you, I can read. He said both of these:

“loose connection at one of the wheel speed sensors”
&
“loose connection at the left park brake motor/caliper”

was just looking for clarification.

is the wheel speed sensor connector near there? i ask because i don't know? on other vehicles i worked on for those types of things, it was mounted right near the brake caliper since the tone ring is part of the axle.

i also did not mean my previous reply to sound like an ass, just in case it came across that way.

No worries, they’re both pretty much in the same location. The speed sensor is maybe a few inches away from the caliper on top of the axle.

brought it to the dealer today anyway and they’re saying ABS module 🤷🏼‍♂️🤷🏼‍♂️

I had the parking brake fault service now error appear last weekend. Took it into dealer on Wednesday and they are saying its the rear axle harness, which is of course on backorder. 15-20 business days to get a replacement. Looks like there was a recall on this part for F-150's.

One good thing about the parking brake error was that I couldn't hear the wind noise from the drivers door anymore.
