Parking brake question for 2025 xlt

When I command start my 2025 xlt, the parking brake engages automatically. When I start the truck with the key, it does not. This is while parked on flat ground.

This wasn't a thing in my 2024. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. If you keyfob start your 2025... stand next to it for a bit. You'll hear a 'bird chirp' noise. I believe this is the electronic parking brake engaging. When you get in, you'll notice that the brake indicator is illuminated. You can simply push the gas pedal and after a moment of resistance, the computer will disengage the parking brake. Of course, I imagine it's better to manually disengage. I figure this must be some form of safety consideration.
