Yawn. Yep. You sell em.
Well, Chris. I don't. I remember you from the USA Ford Ranger Raptor FB group. Always asking dumb questions. You know nothing about throttle controllers. The only reason for your negativity about throttle controllers is because of your claim that it bricked your ECU or put you in limp mode. 🤣🤣. I could show you more before and after results specifically with the Raptor, but why should people believe facts when they could just listen to an idiot like you spout off nonsense?

there are ZERO safeties built into the pedal commander. the control board fucks up. you lose control. I do not know how that company is still in busniess! an obd2 one is better, and one that has tons of safeties built in, and does not require you to cut and splice. the banks pedal monster is a better one. the testing Gale did and real data he shows on both.... I wouldn't trust a pedal commander on a powerwheels yet alone a 70k truck!
I don't use the pedal commander or the banks one. I only posted this to show that TC have gains. Besides, the banks one is shit imo. Overpriced. I agree with you that I wouldn't trust a pedal commander, but I'd add the banks one to that list. Don't believe everything that old man says on his videos, bro. He gets all his parts for that TC from China then "assembled" them in the US claiming "made in America." Btw, you get better control when the TC connects to the sensor above the gas pedal, and NO it doesn't cause a voltage drop to the TB like that old man claims. Total bullshit. Then if you want to run a tuner or piggy back system you have to buy an OBD II splitter. Lol. What a joke. Dude you guys are suckers. And another thing, The high setting on that banks crap is equal to like the medium/low setting on other known brands. That's why you won't see maximum gains with his junk. But keep using it as long as you think your happy with it. Keep believing the old man's scare tactics as a way to market his product. "Buy my product or else you'll destroy your engine if you use another brand." 😂

The peddler commander was originally a copy cat product with a lot of marketing money to build hype. It does nothing but make you perceive your truck as being peppier when realistically what it is doing is modifying the linear stock peddle input so (for example) you press the gas in 25% and it tells the truck you have the peddle pressed 70% of the way to the floor. So you get an overly touchy throttle but at the end of the day 100% throttle is 100% throttle so it doesn’t actually have any effect on acceleration.

Additionally there are a number of teardown videos on YouTube I’ve seen over the years that open the products up and the peddle commander specifically uses some of the cheapest lowest quality components they could find and I would have to search for it but there was one teardown looking at the main chip it uses and there was some sort of safety capacitor (wording?) that it didn’t have that could make it dangerous in the right situation.

When I had a 3rd gen Tacoma people would talk about it but realistically people only liked it because the trucks were so slow that it made you feel like it wasn’t so bad when you could barely touch the throttle and it would open up all the way.
that video your referring to about actually looking at the internals is Gale Banks of Banks performance. Gale is an engineer, automotive lover and geek at heart! his pedal commander vs his pedal monster video is well worth the watch!
