Phone charger

I installed my own MagSafe charger and avoid the builtin cheap Qi v1 pad that cooked my phone. Case or not, it is a POS charge pad that couldn't charge as fast as my phone used battery while using Carplay.

With my Apple MagSafe charger I can charge and use Airplay for hours and grab my phone and not worry about it burning a hole in my pocket.

Ram Mount - RAM Flex adhesive double ball mount for Apple 25W MagSafe (15W option available too). I place the phone landscape orientation, and the angle matches the opening and the phone is easy to place/remove. Velcro used on the coiled excess cable length of the charger (1m). Rubber pad for this area removed. Pulled fuse for Qi pad so I can toss anything I want back there.

While I totally agree that inductive charging causes heat, the Ford inductive charger is battery destroying hot.
My advice is pull fuse #3 and plug your phone in to charge it. Your phone's battery will last much longer.
