Pladtech Locating Device

Nub here! Picking up my new 2025 RR next week, Dealer highly suggests adding a PLADTECH locating device $995 to the vehicle. Can you tell me if this is worthwhile or just another dealer add-on? Seems to be kind of pricey not an urgent accessory. Thanks.

Sounds like just trying to sell you something.

Your fordpass app has a locator setting so you can find your truck

tell him to get fucked! You can track the vehicle using the ford pass app if you have the location tracking enabled in the software settings

otherwise just hide an AirTag in the cabin somewhere for a cheaper tracker if you’re that concerned

You don’t need it with Ford Pass Telemetry. Waste of money!??

Might be worth it if you had a teen driver, you could tell things like speed (and maybe set limits?) but I would AirTag it.
