Anyone think it'd be possible / strong enough to just nutzert that hole or something to bypass all the interior removal process?
I imagine you could tap them just like anything else.

I believe there’s already a nut and bolt in place from the factory so you’ll have to take down the headliner regardless. It really isn’t that big of a deal though. Should take no more than an afternoon and hand tools.Anyone think it'd be possible / strong enough to just nutzert that hole or something to bypass all the interior removal process?
Trust me. This is a LOT easier than how it was on the 5G. It really isn’t hard to lower a headliner one time to put your roof rack on that will likely never come off. No rivets, no drilling, no foam tape. Interiors are super easy with interior trim tools which are easy and cheap to get. This install is a bummer in my opinion. Coming from a Tacoma this seems so like much extra work. Not only extra work but more of a chance to mess up plastic clips.
I hope so. A roof rack will be one of my first mods for sure next to rock sliders. Im new to this platform and i've watched videos on the 5G and had me scared that's for sure.Trust me.
