Anyone know if Ford submitted to CARB to get the same exception the have for the 24-25
RR's?
Or a guesstiment when the previous RR's got theirs CARB ok'd? (Like the month of the year for 24 & 25) 'Cause I know they weren't approved when they were released... TIA

there was no engine management changes between the 2024 through 2026 RR. There is literally no reason the procal tune shouldnt be approved based on the previous years.

But you live in the bureaucratic peoples republic of California where regulations unnecessarily choke everything. California wants their money for approving the tune every year and they are in no hurry to do it.

California dealer had no problem installing the software in my '26. I did not see that it was not CARB approved for a 2026 however the dealer actually helped me out by having me order it directly from Ford at a healthy discount for the ProCal and I also prepaid for the install. Later I read the fine print and was worried they would not be able to install it buy my worries were unfounded. Technically, I could see CA forcing me to remove the tune but I don't think that's a reasonable possibility.

You don't need any other mods for the tune. But a catch can is always a good idea with direct injection only engines. You also don't need to spend the $750 from Fords site for a catch can.
