I want one of these and it makes me sad Ford won't commit to bringing it to North America. Come on Ford! Let us have it also.

PHEVs make a lot of sense for many drivers. I currently own an Escape PHEV and all of our in town and short road trips are done in EV mode (no gas). But it also works great for long trips (e.g. traveling to our snowbird location) where it operates like a conventional hybrid with great MPGs. The Ranger PHEV's Pro Power Onboard is icing on the cake which provides the ability to supply a home with backup power if the grid goes down.
