I installed the 4" tips from Fabulous Fab which deletes the resonators. Decent sound increase in Baja. I'll post some sound clips tonight on my YouTube

Unsheltered_Raptor - turns out it'll be tomorrow, trucks at the dealership getting some work done and they needed to keep it until tomorrow.

The valves are after the muffler. Resonator delete is pretty simple.

MRT has an exhaust for the Bronco Raptor that basically deletes the valve function.

They have mounts on the end of their muffler to mount the valves while they're still connected so the motors operate and they don't throw any error codes.

I know they were looking for a Ranger Raptor around the beginning of the year, but I have no clue what became of that or if they found someone who offered their truck up for R&D.

I will never understand the want to delete the valve system - unless you're going for ultimate power over everything else, the valves are a super convenient feature.

I don't understand it either, but it must have been their way of making their own exhaust note/tone and to keep cost down.

They have videos of their Bronco Raptor exhaust on YT, so anyone can see what they sound like if they're curious.

The valves are wide open at wide open throttle in all exhaust modes. There’s an exhaust R&D video from fabulous fabrications

that explains the exhaust modes and piping architecture. Helpful place to start. I’ve seen some aftermarket options for bronco raptor that have 1 functional valve that regulates flow & tone and a second valve that stays wide open to trick the exhaust mode electronics. Dual 3” in and out, with no 3rd post muffler pipe that bypasses valving, as found on oem offering and some aftermarket offerings.

The best sounding (subjective I know) Ranger raptors have a trombone section post down pipe followed by some resonators followed by the muffler. The trombone section makes the exhaust equal length which smooths out the tone so the exhaust pulses aren’t fighting each other and the resonators mitigate drone and rasp before the exhaust gasses meet in the oem muffler. You can further tune the sound with the tailpipe section by removing oem resonators, installing larger/longer resonators to quiet the tone or use megaphone piece to step the diameter up from 2.5" to make the tone louder.

Here’s another video that illustrates exhaust gas flows of the oem system
