I was off-roading tonight on some pretty rocky/bumpy trails. I had it in "off-road" mode because I thought it was best for the terrain I was doing. Anyway, I tried putting it in Baja after a lot of bouncing around and I noticed the suspension felt substantially softer. I thought there were only 3 suspension settings, and the off-road suspension setting is the same for off-road and baja modes.

Has anyone else noticed this? Am I imagining it?

I haven't been off-road in mine yet, but I would think Baja mode would indeed soften the suspension in order to take some pretty rough terrain at 80+ MPH.

Baja is all I've run on trails. Off road is probably best for muddy trails and other low speed terrain where traction and picking lines are your primary concerns.

Soo do you think the Baja suspension mode should be the softer mode for the shocks? Even softer than Normal mode?

Agreed, but the modes are just a mixture of suspension and 4x4 settings, etc. The micro settings within the suspension itself are supposed to be 3 options. Off-road, sport, and normal. In both off-road and baja modes, they both use the same "off-road" suspension settings. This is why it seems odd that baja would feel softer because theoretically, the suspension settings should be the same.

I think it's a base setting, and then tweaked via software depending on driving mode. But that is just my guess based on playing with the settings off road.

Edit - I wanted to expand on this. You have the three suspension settings with base programming. Then the drive modes tweak those for their intended use cases. Then the real micro adjustments come from the sensors that supposedly adjust the system 1000 times a second. Off road shocks in off road mode are likely firmer on compression and softer on rebound than Baja mode, where compression is likely softer and rebound much firmer. Rock crawl is likely set up differently as well for maximum articulation at slow speeds (soft for both). These all use off road mode for the shocks, but each use case is very different. Note - that's just too illustrate my point.

I doubt it. It's programed for off road use, so compression may be slightly softer but rebound is likely set firmer to keep the tires planted for maximum traction. Normal should be the softest of the the three for most uses.
