I'm a 22 Bronco owner and considering trading for a Ranger. I like the Bronco but a truck would better suit my needs. I've read some reviews and one thing the Ranger seems to get zonked for is steering. I've always been quite impressed with the Bronco steering. It has good feedback in my opinion and requires little corrections on the highway, better than my two sedans actually. I would think being the same platform the Ranger and Bronco would be similar. Anyone get a chance to compare the Ranger and Bronco steering? Note my Bronco has base tires which probably improves steering response over giant Sasquatch tires.

I would zonk the brakes over the steering

Steering feels like electronic steering
Brakes feel soft.
All just my observations.

I’m also coming from a Bronco and F150 Tremor.

Compared to a Bronco the steering on the RR feels heavy. It feels very sports car. At high speeds Sport is appreciated for precise baja running but otherwise Comfort is what I run for everyday driving. I do think Comfort should be “normal” and there should be a lighter steering mode for daily city driving. Maybe they can address that later.

I agree about the brakes but tires also help with this.

Much prefer my Ranger Raptor to my first edition bronco. Don't miss the bronco at all now.

Considering it is, afterall, a truck, I find the RR steering impressive. It is communicative, directionally positive, and when in SPORT, very similar to my 2004 M3 in weight. I haven't had any issues with the K03 tires; truck handles just fine. I also find the brakes fine, with adequate performance.

Again, it's a truck. Not a sports car. Yet it does some things LIKE a sports car.

We are fortunate to own both a 2022 4 door Bronco Badlands with 8,000 miles, stock KO2 33” tires, and now a 24 Ranger Raptor with 3,000 miles and stock KO3 33” tires. On the road the Bronco has a lighter but more of a “truck” feel with the shorter wheel base than the Raptor being very evident with the ability to really feel the tires - as designed. It’s been on a number of off-road adventures, pulled our tear-drop trailer, my wife’s daily driver (it’s actually “her” vehicle) and been phenomenal at every task.
The Ranger Raptor has mostly been on the road since we picked it up in Kokomo Indiana in late April and drove it 2400 miles back to the west coast. The ride is more refined than Bronco, with its longer wheel base and better shocks. The Raptor really does feel like a heavy high powered sports car (I now better understand why people love driving Raptor F-150s) and we both love to drive it. Hopefully we will have an opportunity to off-road it next week in Anza Borrego.
My take is that if you are mostly on pavement the Ranger Raptor is the best choice, if you can’t have both. But off-road I suspect the Bronco will be nimbler on rocky/hilly trails but the Raptor will shine in the desert and dirt roads that makeup much of the trails in our area. It’s also my opinion that much of the difference is due to the wheel base of the two vehicles (we drove a 2 dr Bronco and felt that the 4 dr had a better ride during our Bronco Off-Rodeo adventure in Texas - before we bought the Badlands). I like Ford vehicles but I think their Design Team got both vehicles “right”. The two vehicles are different by design but the the Ranger Raptor has a better road feel and the Bronco is better on climbing rocks and hilly trails.

Going back and forth between my Ranger and my GTI might put me through the windshield of my GTI. ;)
I have this problem going from my JL Jeep (Diesel wrangler on 37's), my ranger, then to my Mach 1 Handling package that has the big brembo kit on it. definitely a wakeup when getting to the first stop sign lol

I would agree completely about the brakes on my 2022 and 2023 Rangers, terrible brakes, very low and spongy pedal. and both would require both feet planted on the brake pedal to prevent the truck from creeping forward at a stop light, dealer said the brakes were normal. the brakes on my 24 exhibit none of those problems at all. brakes on the 24 are perfect.

I ordered a fully loaded 24 Ranger Lariat last year. Since they took so long to get into production, I ended up trading my 21 Lariat for a 23 4dr Bronco Badlands. My ordered Ranger finally arrived in April, so I had to go test drive it to see if I still wanted it. While it did drive well, it felt like too much of a downgrade in just about every aspect from the Bronco for me to do the deal. Mine has the 33s and I didn't notice any difference in steering. I've driven a sasquatch and it feels the same as mine.
