Rear view mirror-Wolfbox mount question

I want to mount my Wolfbox g900 tripro using a bracket like the one attached. The mirror mount has a loom running through it(circled in yellow), anyone know what it is for?

I believe that is for the auto dimming on the mirror. Powers the sensor and tinting. I’ve read it will run fine not plugged in. I also read that certain models and trims have tinting on the side mirrors that adjust to this sensor. Mine does not have that (2024 Lariat). My mount just came in so I haven’t had a chance to try this.

okay, I disconnected the harness and twisted off the mirror. What is the trick for getting it back on? I have searched google and YouTube but don’t see this particular mount.

Start at a 45° rotation (I went counter clockwise) then press hard and rotate (clockwise in my case)
