This morning, my drivers side window quit coming up all the way when I pulled up on the switch fully. It would come up as long as I held the switch, but stop when I released the switch.
I googled it and found out that there is a reset procedure for the auto window switch. First roll the window all of the way down. Then fully close the window. Then hold up on the switch for 10 seconds.
After doing the reset, the auto up/down started working again. Thought I’d share in case someone runs into this issue.

We just had a big ice storm and after attempting to open my driver’s side window multiple times (I eventually did get it to open), I noticed that the 2nd switch detent stopped working. I was due for an oil change anyway, so I brought my ā€˜25 Ranger into my dealership and explained the issue. Sure enough, the switch required ā€œinitializationā€ using the exact procedure you described. I should have known to check here first, but no harm as the truck is still under warranty so there was no charge.
I will not forget to check here first next time!
BTW - I was charged $100.43 for ā€œThe Worksā€, which is an oil & filter change, a tire rotation and inspection/topping of fluids - and this was at 7,xxx miles, as I had performed the first oil & filter change myself at 3,xxx miles. Interestingly their maintenance sticker on the inside of my windshield indicates that the next is due at 12,xxx miles. I was happily surprised to see that they are adhering to a 5k interval.

I've had the same problem. Thanks for the easy fix. Can't wait to try it.

I've also had it where the rear passenger window in my '25 Lariat (which isnt supposed to have auto up/down) occassionally automatically goes down when i try to roll it up! I'll try your fix on that one too.
