There is no forum for Rhino 4x4 so I am putting this in general. This is to share my experience with these guys.
I can't speak to their products but I can tell you their customer service is crap, at least in my case. Moreover, they are doing business in the US and can barely speak any English. If I did not know Spanish well enough to communicate, my issues would have never gotten resolved. I am not about bad-mouthing or anything, but people should know what they might expect if in the same situation.
So, I purchased a bumper, winch, light bar and some other items for my Ranger Lariat back in early January totaling $4300. It so happens that I got rear ended a few days later, which totaled the Lariat. I then went and bought a R Raptor. I called them about the order as I clearly did not need the Lariat stuff anymore and I was interested in getting the same for the Raptor instead.
Now they normally don't take returns on bumpers, but they do on everything else I ordered. This seems ridiculous to me, but whatever, it is their policy. In any case, I was able to convince them to take the bumper back since I had a Raptor, not Lariat now. They told me to talk to the shipping company and just deny delivery and have them send it back. They use a weird shipping company though, not like UPS or FedEx. Alas, I called them and told them to return the items to the seller and they agreed. They told me to tell Rhino to contact them regarding this to approve.
Long story short, after 2 and a half months, they got their stuff back and refunded me. We agreed that they would deduct the shipping cost and refund the rest. Then today I see the refund. They kept about $1100 for shipping, which is insane. I contacted them since shipping was like $300.
Their answer was that the shipping company charged them for storing the stuff for two months while Rhino got in touch with them and worked this out. TWO MONTHS to call them and tell them to send it back? WTF is this. If they had called them 2 months ago and gotten this taken care of when I talked to them, WHICH THEY AGREED TO DO, there would have been no storage fees. I then have spent the past 2 months calling and email them and the shipping company to get this resolved.
Ultimately, I had to pay for them not communicating in a timely manner, not knowing how to speak English properly to communicate with the shipping company, and their overall incompetence. Don't do business in America if you don't know how to!
And why use some no-name shipping company that has such policies. FedEx or UPS would have returned the stuff to them immediately upon my refusal of delivery and I would have not be charged $800 for THEIR incompetence.
Naturally, I am not buying their Raptor products as a result. After looking at it, why would I pay $3K for a bumper when Rival has one for $2K that is better looking and probably better built.
