Sand dune flags and mount

What is a good solution for a flag/whip mount? What flag do you guys recommend? Going to Oceano Sand dunes.

On my 2004 ranger I had made a simple metal L bracket that was fastened by screw to the bed rail area, and then it held the flag on the other end. Literally a metal bar with a hole in each end and then bent 90 degrees in the middle.

I wasn't prepared for my trip, I quickly ordered a couple (golf cart type) from Amazon at the last min.....what a waste!!

I ended up buying a $20 flag at Pismo / Oceano and opening my sliding rear window, running it through there and wire tying it to my headrest. It was a temporary fix for the weekend. Next time I will find one that mounts to the bumper. Let me know what you end up doing.

Pismo / Oceano was a blast. Next time I am going to tow a camper and camp on the beach. Dunes are cool.

There is a self serve wash place right as you leave the park - make sure to spend some time there to wash off the salt water & sand from the under carriage - sand and salt are not your friends for the wiring & frame, etc....

If the poles have a nut on the end of them why not just attach it to your trailer hitch minus the ball.

If you find anything let me know I’ve been wanting to go into the dunes but I don’t have the flag so I just stay on the beach area there’s a lot ford the f1)0 but not so much for the rangers

This is what I went with on Temu. Probably same manufacturer that's selling similar on Amazon. So save a little money. I'll provide some feed back.
