Not to say neoprene wouldn't work but they're not for everyone and some folks on the Jeep forum call them "Swampass" seat covers because they don't breathe.

I hate neoprene covers for that reason. I sweat everywhere that is touching neoprene and i hate the smell of neoprene. My winter suits for surfing smelled so rubbery and yuck i never put them inside my truck.

I like the fitted towel cover idea over the seat covers. I am very sweaty after a long hike.
Does the towel fit over the head rests.

On my Jeep they do. Won't know about the Ranger till it arrives.
