I went back to the dealership today and picked the Ranger up. They said they are going to leave the ticket open. By the time I got back to town I live in I could hear the noise again. How they say they don't is beyond me. I tried to make a video but can't get phone to pick up noise. I'm going back to dealership tomorrow and let my salesman listen to it. If necessary I'll take a couple witnesses with me.

If I turn the A/C off and leave fan running sound goes away immediately. Fan still blows air through vents. Immediately when I turn A/C back on sounds starts again. And you can hear it outside the vehicle. I've already had 3 people standing next to the truck ask me what the noise is.
I’ve had the same thing happen in my RRaptor. If people are walking by, I get a bit subconscious about it so I turn off the A/C😂

Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Just a follow up. Evidently Ford has escalated the issue with the help of the social media rep on here. Only problem is I can never reach the agent assigned to me to see what I need to do next. I try to call the dealership but calls are never returned. I have a new issue with a low frequency noise really apparent at low speeds. I'm starting to think I bought a dud. I love my Fords but starting to wonder.

I would suggest you go straight to a ford dealership and talk face to face with the service manager. The Ford social media reps on this forum are noting but data gathers. Good luck, hope your get your concern corrected soon.

I think I have the same noise on my Ranger Raptor. It's definitely coming from the AC compressor. It is a lot louder than I'd expect it to be in the cabin. Almost sounds like the compressor has a small knocking noise as it rotates around. AC works perfectly fine, but the noise is most certainly coming from the compressor on my truck. I thought it was coming from the transmission at first.

Bought my 2024 Ranger Lariat on Sept 21st. While sitting in parking lot at work while listening to Nascar radio I could here a strange noise coming from passenger side dash area. I turned the volume down and it was pretty irritating. I turned the A/C off with the fan still running and the noise instantly quit. I turned the A/C back on and noise comes back. It's doesn't do it all the time. Seems like after driving a few mins on a hot day. Dealership has had it since Monday Oct 7th. They claim they can't replicate the noise. Also claim A/C checks out fine. The best I can describe the noise is a whirling, clicking type noise. Any thoughts from the forum?
Is it a pulsing noise?

No. More like a clicking whirling noise. It's definitely AC related. It seems to get louder and then quieter as load on compressor changes. It goes away when you turn AC off with fan still running. Instantly comes back when you turn AC back on.

Same problem of my 2015 Ford Ranger not latest one but you need to press a windscreen defrost button and leave it for 5 second and press the same button back it should work.
Sorry for late reply.

Yeah I tried your little trick. Noise is still there when A/C is turned on. Took back to dealership and had service manager sit in truck with me. He acknowledged there was a noise but didn't know if Ford would fix it under warranty. He was supposed to email them about but I have never heard back. The following Monday I actually got a good audio of it from inside the cab. I texted it to the service writer. He said he forwarded it to the manager but still no reply. I tried calling today and left a voice mail and texted. Still no replies. I get the feeling the dealership is trying to avoid me at this time.

If you get traction on getting it addressed, please let me know. It's that one thing about the truck that pisses me off. I'm OCD about noises and while AC compressors do make some noise, this seems to be excessive.

I'll post anything I find out. What pisses me off was when the service manager was sitting in the truck with me he seemed very disinterested and just kind of ho hum about it. I'm very OCD about noises myself and now I have a popping and rattling sound from the left side dash area. I'm about done with this truck for sure.

I too have a noise coming from what sounds like dead ahead of the steering wheel in the dash somewhere. It's pretty infrequent so that one isn't bugging me yet, but the clicking/whining/noisy compressor sounds abnormal.

Ford corporate at most is going to give them maybe a paid hour of diag time for warranty purposes. So unless the problem drops in their lap as obvious, they generally do not like to get wrapped up in potential drawn out problems they are losing money on.

Not excusing it, but just giving the reality of the warranty system between the dealership and corporate. It forces the customer to have to be an ass to push things through to a conclusion.
