Could somebody post a picture of this area. I think I am missing a part to capture the end of the torsion rod.

Yes your clip is installed correctly. It appears that your spray in bed liner was done without removing tailgate.

Your rod is secured in a different manner than the other ones. Doesn’t mean it’s missing anything or incorrect in any way. Agree with comment that spray in liner isn’t the same along the side.
