I replaced my third brake light. It works great, looks great, and I love it. Because I'm a moron and can't leave well enough alone, I replaced the OEM silver screws with black ones that promptly rusted. They are spinning in the retainers and I can't remove them so I may need to drill them out. Before I go this route, I'm trying to figure out why the screws are spinning in the retainers so that I can attack the problem correctly. I don't remember seeing the retainers when I installed and I might need to buy new ones depending on how this all goes. Does anyone have the diagram of how the cab brake light is attached, and what the part number is for the retainers? If anyone has pics with the cab brake light removed that would be a big help. I don't think the retainers can be accessed from behind the headliner and I think I need to remove the brake light to get at them.
I have an unused seal that I can use to put this mess back together once the screws are replaced, so its really just a matter of getting them out and making sure the retainers aren't damaged.
Don't use crappy hardware.
