I'll start. Smacked my drivers side mirror on the door frame backing into the garage the other day.
I'll be using the power fold from here on out.

Curious how hard it is to replace. The last time I had to replace a mirror was on my 2003 F150. Mirrors back the were not as technologically advanced as they are today. Any advise would be most welcome.

Should be jist as rasy to replace. Undo trim, undo bolts, unplug harness. Reverse to install the replacement

Been there twice with our both CRVs. One had the mirror glass cracked, unsalvageable, bought a second hand one same color. less than half the cost.

The one that had the glass intact and worked normal, took out the shell cover, and glued the broken parts by the inside, put back the shell and left the shark nibble as it was. It works normal. IT LOOKED LIKE YOURS. nothing important missing.

If yours still works and moves, any decent old repair man would fix it decently. Usually it if works there are just some cracked internal stuff that wont interfere with the normal operation of it. glue it and maybe call it a day.

I had to replace my F150 side mirror. The process is just like what @superj mentioned. The only trim to pop should be that triangle piece on the inside of the door.

I just did this with my right mirror. Pop off the tringle shaped piece, three T27 bolts, two connectors on mine. I have the 360 camera. One bolt is very hard to get to without removing the door panel, but it can be done. A couple of warnings, the new mirror does not have threaded holes, the bolts are self-tapping. Run them in off the truck before mounting the mirror.
The other warning: price. Mine was $1386 list. I was able to get it online for just under $900

If removing the while assembly, or just the glass, here the the ford workshop manual page. you shouldnt have to remove the full door card, if you can fenaggle the bottom bolt. just dont drop it. lol
once you take the cap off the corner of the doorcard, it exposes 2 of the 3 screws and the electrical plug. the bottom bolt you might be able to get with the doorcard still on, and to the right is a black plug, remove that for the 3rd bolt.

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking I won't need to remove the whole mirror. The only part damaged is this bezel. If its removable from the new mirror it looks to be an easy fix. Unfortunately it's not sold separately I'll need to purchase the entire mirror assembly just for this part.

You might be able to find someone to fix the bezel itself. Plastic welding is a thing and if done right will look great. Will have to repaint obviously.

It was busted up into to many tiny pieces to plastic weld or glue it back together unfortunately.

to replace the bezel, you have to remove the glass, to remove the motor, to remove the bezel
