TPMS Valves don't match?

I have an odd quick question. I just installed new wheels today, we swapped the existing TMPS from old wheels to the new wheels since my truck is brand new, however..

I noticed that two of the valve stems have a gold metal ring near the tip that says "TPMS" and the other two are just normal full black valves. The TPMS system is working fine, just curious if this is normal or did the shop break 2 TPMS during install and swapped theirs in without telling me? It's odd that they don't match?

I had new tires mounted on my stock wheels and I ended up with a similar issue. Two of my valve stems were showing a gold strip and two were not. After closer inspection it looks like they lost 2 of my valve stem caps and replaced them with shorter ones that don't cover that gold strip.

Did you take it back and have them match them up? I thought about doing that but it's really not worth the hassle lol.

No, it's a 45 minute drive. I've been busy with other projects lately so I keep forgetting to look for some longer caps.

Yeah mine are definitely the same caps, but different stems which is even weirder.

Fortunately , since I only had new tires put on the stock wheels they didn't have to touch my sensors or valve stems and risk breaking one.

Might just find a small black rubber ring to put around the gold part and call it a day lol
